Working solo or leading a team of trusted creatives when needed, I craft approachable and elevated visuals for brands that champion mindful consumption, sustainably-made goods, and services that help people and nature thrive.

Equal parts enamored with all things design and the idea of having a habitable planet to continue living on, I first began my career in sustainable architecture and earned my Master’s degree in urban planning before discovering and pursuing my love for graphic arts.

My career pivot led to incredible opportunities to work in-house as a designer and art director for brands like Apple, Honest Company, and TOMS, where my design skills were razor-sharpened and I gained invaluable experience in marketing, brand strategy, and visual storytelling.

I now run my own creative studio, using my decade+ of expertise to help deepen the impact of brands and initiatives working to shape a more sustainable and inclusive future.

Hi! I’m Joanna

When I’m not working I enjoy being outdoors, soaking up every bit of inspiration I can from our beautiful planet. Whether it’s watching the moon rise on an evening surf, walking my little mutt around the neighborhood (stopping every block to photograph an interesting plant), or enjoying a coffee during the quiet stillness of mornings camping out in the desert, I love channeling the colors, textures and details I see into my work.

I also enjoy meeting new people, so don’t hesitate to reach out and say hello!
